Before and After Skin Retouching

My view on skin retouching:
Skin needs to look like skin. You simply can NOT ever treat skin like it's a piece of plastic.
"I hate air brushing!!!!" - there I said it.
🔅 I've spent a great deal of my career finding ways to edit skin. Yes, I know. Beauty comes from within. So does pimples and scars and things we as woman just don't need to see. 🙈
🔅 I hate over processed images with excessive noise added to cover up what ever abomination of a technique used. Yes, I know all images are not the same. Yes I know you gonna tell me all about deadlines and budgets and what not. But this is only my opinion. I like skin for what it is... a living breathing organism. Noise or grain is not skin texture.
🔅 I continue crafting my techniques. Jip, I have many ways to skin the cat. No camera or image will ever be the same. Some images are ultra sharp, others slightly softer... all depending on a variety of factors. So if you are going to apply one technique to every image you edit, please stop.
🔅 Love your image. Love the skin. Be kind to it. It doesn't matter if you heal or clone or follow all of youtube...
Play around. Just have 1 goal in mind: Do not kill the skin!
